What we collect

• Email address (only if you create an account or subscribe to Pro)
• Ancestry selections (stored locally on your device, or in our secure cloud for Pro)
• Search queries typed into Ask the Elders
• Journal entries you choose to log in My Apothecary

What we do NOT collect

• No DNA or genetic data — ancestry is self-selected, never a DNA test
• No health diagnoses or medical records
• No precise location

Storage

Free accounts store ancestry, searches, and journal data in your browser's localStorage on your own device. Pro accounts sync that data to our secure cloud database so it follows you across devices.

No selling, no third-party AI

We never sell or rent your data. Ask the Elders does not send your questions to any third-party AI service — all matching runs client-side against our own curated knowledge map (lib/ancestralKnowledge.ts).

Payments

Subscriptions and shop orders are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
